Feedback about the Local Offer

We welcome feedback, from anyone who would like to take part, about what is offered locally for Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) - the Local Offer - especially from children, young people, and parents or carers.

We want you to tell us if you think the Local Offer has everything you would like to find, and if not, what you think should be there.

Your feedback can help us identify gaps in services and what we provide.

This helps us provide information about the limitations of services and their quality to our service managers, so they can target resources to where they are most needed.

What we do with your feedback

We try to act on as much feedback as we can, and if we can't we tell you why.

We pull together all the feedback we receive about Somerset Choices and the Local Offer, and publish it each year, good or bad.

  • Local Offer Annual Report 2016/17 - We would like to thank each and every one of you for giving us your comments. We have enjoyed hearing from and talking to all of you. During the coming year we will be working hard with the feedback you have given us to make the Local Offer better for us all. Please keep getting involved.

Sending feedback about services

One way to help us is by searching Somerset Choices for information or services you need, and telling us about what you found.

You can send feedback directly to the services you are in contact with.

Or if you prefer, you can use our feedback form.

You can also use the 'Was this page useful?' link, which is at the bottom of every page, if there is anything you want to tell us.

Complain or comment about a service provider

If you have a problem with a service provider you should contact them directly first. All service providers should have a feedback process. If, after contacting them, you are still unhappy, you can contact Somerset County Council.
